Why become a TVP mentor?
TVP mentors tell us the relationship goes both ways. You'll share your experience, your network, and your perspective — and you'll gain a connection with a driven, ambitious scholar that's genuinely rewarding. Most mentors stay with their scholar through graduation.
TVP mentors provide consistent support, coaching, and guidance — becoming a trusted part of a scholar's network through college and into their career.
Our Unique Dual-Mentor Model
Peer Mentors
Individuals who have recently started working, are completing their college education, or recently graduated. Their goal is to provide mentees with guidance as they enter college or begin their careers.
Senior Mentors
Individuals who have completed their education or have been working in established careers for some time. Their goal is to provide mentees with guidance and support as they consider long-term career or professional goals and plans.
How do I get involved?
Submit your application via TVP Connect
Once your application has been reviewed by the TVP team, we will reach out to schedule an interview
Once interviewed, all mentors undergo a background check and orientation
After onboarding is complete, you will be matched with a mentee! Depending on the time of year, some matches happen soon after onboarding, others may take a few months.
